Elena Bell

Elena is a first-year MS student at ERG. Elena is interested in advancing economic development solutions to incorporate equitable environmental and social outcomes. Prior to joining ERG, Elena worked at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for five years, most recently as an Impact Investing Manager providing environmental and social impact technical advice to agriculture, water, and timber impact investing funds. At TNC Elena also worked on the Latin America/North America communications teams managing the global Earth Month 2020 campaign and helping create a financial sector engagement strategy for sustainable soy in Paraguay. Before TNC, she was a Fulbright scholar in Brazil researching the influence of agribusiness on family agriculture water use in Rio Grande do Norte and teaching English classes at the state university. Elena graduated from Tufts University in 2017 with a BA in International Relations.
