Colette Brown

Colette’s research and interests focus on using remote sensing and data science to better explore and predict changes to the arctic. She currently works for Dr. Margaret Torn and Dr. Yanlan Liu on the NGEE-Arctic project. They are currently creating a model to predict how the vegetation changed after the Anaktuvuk Fire (2007) and the impact of the fire on potential sequestration capacity. The goal of her research is to improve prediction capacities for remote regions, particularly in the face of limited data.

Prior to ERG, Colette completed a BSc in Data Science and Statistics & Environmental Science at Minerva University and then worked at Strive as a Product Manager.
