Jan Porvaznik
Jan’s current research focuses on: the role of behavioral economics in energy and climate policy making, modeling of interactions of energy and climate policies at various levels of government, regulatory options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the role of industry and external environment in energy policy making and market implications of new and emerging policies.
Jan received his undergraduate degree in International relations from University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Finance and Business strategy from ESCP Europe, Paris, France and a second M.Sc. degree in International economic relations cum laude from University of Economics in Bratislava. After graduating, he held several positions in management consulting and served as an internal advisor to CEO of a leading energy utility in Slovakia. He is currently a Fulbright visiting researcher at University of California – Berkeley.
