Hola! I’m Victor Reyes, a Mexican MS candidate. I have a BS/BA in Engineering with a concentration on Sustainability from the University of San Diego. My main interests are electric power systems and social justice. I want to research about emerging technologies in the energy sector and their intersection with public policy in order to create sustainable energy solutions in developing countries.
For the past two years I worked at GRID Alternatives, were I’ve contributed to different commercial and Multifamily Affordable Housing solar projects. Additionally, I cofounded a startup, Recotrak, that is developing technology to enable catering business recover prepared food that would otherwise end up in landfills. A little about my personal life, I enjoy the outdoors, hanging out with friends, cooking, movies, and going on walks with my dog.
